Study Chinese at William Jewell!

Beijing, one of Jewell's approved study abroad programs
This week the faculty at William Jewell approved two new courses that will form the foundation of a Chinese program at Jewell: CHI 111, Elementary Chinese I and CHI 112, Elementary Chinese II. We are happy to be able to offer these choices beginning fall 2012. In fall 2013 we plan to add the intermediate level, allowing students to complete their language requirement in Chinese and be able to then complete a Chinese Area Studies minor or a self-designed International Business and Chinese major, both of which would require a semester abroad. William Jewell currently has two study abroad programs in China. Students have a choice of studying in Beijing through IES or at Hong Kong Baptist University. We look forward to working with our new Chinese language students next year.
